Professor Harbinger
Many Gold Key series in the mid 60s had a 4 or 6 page second feature. Space Family Robinson had Captain Venture, Man from UNCLE had Jet Dream, Magnus had The Aliens, and so forth.
Dr Solar shared space with Professr Harbinger, a guy who creeped me out but I think I learned a thing or 2 about science along the way.

Prof Harbringer! I loved those stories better than the Solar main feature. Sometimes they dealt with disturbing topics like energy crisis and overpopulation... The character looks a lot like Jean Baudrillard, the french post structuralist philosopher who was something of a doomsayer himself.
