It's odd: Steve Canyon passed through my mind last Friday. I was crossing the skybridge from San Diego Airfield's Terminal 1 when I saw Steve depicted on one of the panels...Milt Caniff was a long-time favorite at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Steve Canyon was just dropping off the pop radar as I was becomming a fan of such things, but since Caniff was born in my parent's home town, and went to school here in Dayton, Ohio, he was a houshold hero of sorts, at least to my dad.So I sort of got second-hand Canyon. I remember meeting an old man once who they claimed was the model for Happy Easter in the Canyon strip. -Smeghead
