Space Family Robinson in 3D

I've been experimenting with the technique of converting old comics to 3D. For my first attempt I chose this story from Space Family Robinson #1, in which they are not yet lost in space. Art is by Dan Spiegle and I did this as a tribute, not an insult...maybe I'll do better next time !

You'll need your red/cyan 3D specs.

    1. There are many examples of fine , (and not so fine!) art having been adapted to anaglyph on Tumblr, Flickr and other sources. I will put some together for a post , since you asked.

  2. I know how much work this involves. Your results are pretty good, however there is a "blurring" over many parts of the image. I think this is a result of improper background replacement. You can't just shift pieces of the image for one of the "eyes" and blur out the BG in the hole. You must recreate the missing(formally 'blocked") backround elements. This can be painstaking and time consuming but the results will be superior. Nice job for a first attempt. I hope you continue.

    1. Yeah, you are exactly correct on that point. I have no professional software, so I'm making do . As it is, I have to run each panel thru several pieces of software and manipulations. Takes about an hour a page. I think my current project is a little bit better. Obviously this is done out of a hobbist's love for the subject, not a professional work. The stuff can never be circulated beyond this small readership anyway.
