The beauty and simplicity of the old magazine covers is always a delight to see. I hate to sound like "that old guy" but covers nowadays are as busy as a CNN screen-grab with all those typefaces and blurbs fighting for your attention. I'd love to see a magazine today go the simple and elegant route. It would jump off the magazine rack!

Tenggren also did some children's books.
ReplyDeleteI still remember some of the pictures from his one of cowboys and Indians, it was that distinctive.
