Iron Munro
The Iron Munro comic stories were inspired/based on editor John W. Campbell's Arn Munro short stories in the ASTOUNDING SCIENCE FICTION pulp. However, back in 1965, Otto Binder stated in a short bibliography of his works that he developed and wrote this series, while at the Chesler Shop ,an early supplier of material for the Street and Smith comic books.

FWIW, this is kind of a dumbed down version of Campbell's Aarn Munro story THE MIGHTIEST MACHINE.
