Four Color # 106 TILLIE THE TOILER

Tillie the Toiler was a newspaper comic strip created by cartoonist Russ Westover. King Features Syndicate carried this strip from 1921 to 1959. Here is the cover and a few example panels from Four Color #106. I guess this was supposed to be a soap opera, not a comedy... for the life of me can't see how this lasted for darn near 40 years.

I was only interested in this because my father named 2 cats Tilly for some reason. Maybe HE liked the comic strip.
