Pulp Art Gallery - H. W. McCauley



Bon 1913 in Chicago.
Covered several genres- Science fiction magazines, sleazy paperbacks, & comercial art for defense contractors. He was a staff artist for Ziff-Davis publications. In the 1950s he created advertising art for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Orange Kist, and Schlitz Beer. He also painted pin-ups and calendar art.  In the early 1960s he worked for an erotic paperback publisher, Nightstand Library, in Evanston, IL.

    3. Many of the above pieces were taken from our home by a misguided relative. I cry every time I think of this. These are so dear to our family as my mother is the model for many of these pieces.

  4. Harold W. McCauley is my Uncle and I absolutely Love his Illustrations! I now own 38 Original Pulps that my Uncle Harold did the Illustrations in and will forever be looking for more.
