The Art of Donald Rust.

Born in 1932 in Pennsylvania,Donald Rust  has illustrated books for Valkyrie Press, A.S. Barnes & Co, and World of Yesterday Publications; and has provided illustrations for Reader's Digest and other magazines. His artwork has also appeared on collector's plates, appointment books, wall calendars, porcelain mugs, playing cards and jigsaw puzzles. We, of course, are most interested in his girly art.

My own uneducated opinion is that, while he has the bodywork down, his faces look fairly blank. Maybe that was his intent.

His is one of his other works. Meh.

Italian UFO game

This Italian board game, produced in 1974,  is based on the 1970 British TV series UFO. It looks pretty complicated.

Comic Book Short Story~The Reluctant Rustler

HAVE GUN- WILL TRAVEL premiered 55 years ago, and ran for 6 or 7 seasons. I was too young to remember it. I've never sought it out as I have other retro TV because I don't much care for westerns. However I have just watched the first 2 episodes and I must say I am very impressed. The second episode, guest starring Charles Bronson, would be Emmy nominated fare today. The half hour format makes for tight plotting and writing, which is why I love shows like Peter Gunn and the first 39 episodes of Danger Man so much.

This was the only TV show to spawn a successful radio drama version. Paladin was voiced by William Conrad.

Born in 1911, Bill Randall attended the Chicago Art Institute. He produced propaganda posters during WWII. He's most known for his calender girls of the 1950s.
He also did magazine covers and ads.
