Professor Harbinger

Many Gold Key series in the mid 60s had a 4 or 6 page second feature. Space Family Robinson had Captain Venture, Man from UNCLE had Jet Dream, Magnus had The Aliens, and so forth. Dr Solar shared space with Professr Harbinger, a guy who creeped me out but I think I learned a thing or 2 about science along the way. Here is the specimen from issue #9, drawn by Mel Crawford.

BONUS: Here's the back page pinup from that issue-------

Four Color # 106 TILLIE THE TOILER

Tillie the Toiler was a newspaper comic strip created by cartoonist Russ Westover. King Features Syndicate carried this strip from 1921 to 1959. Here is the cover and a few example panels from Four Color #106. I guess this was supposed to be a soap opera, not a comedy... for the life of me can't see how this lasted for darn near 40 years.

I was only interested in this because my father named 2 cats Tilly for some reason. Maybe HE liked the comic strip.
